Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Drumaliss

Located at the summit of a small N-S drumlin ridge. A circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 40m) is depicted here only on the 1834 edition of the OS 6-inch map where it is described in gothic lettering as a ’fort’. This is a grass-covered area (diam. 31m E-W; 27.5m N-S) defined by the vegetation mark (Wth 3m) of a fosse NW-E-SE and a curved field bank elsewhere. There is no indication of an entrance.
