Marianne and I walked the quiet lane at Dromgarriff East, where a shallow earthen ring holds a forgotten chamber of grass and rain. I lifted a ribbed bottle from the causeway and drank, not knowing whether the water belonged to a living person or the story the land still tells. Marianne laughed at my certainty, then touched the damp soil and went silent. We left the bottle beside the gap, not as a gift but as a question, and the hillkeeper watched us leave without answering.

In pasture, on break in S-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 31m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 0.4m), with external fosse (D 0.7m). Gap (Wth 1.6m) in bank to E. Causeway crosses fosse to SSE.
