Fairy forts in Drom, County Kerry, are earthen ringforts, ancient human defences misnamed by later belief. Three raths appeared in local writing during the 1940s, scattered across Cooper family land, yet only two remain visibly identifiable. The lost third may have been levelled for farms or swallowed by forgetting, while the surviving mounds still mark the edge of human ambition and fairy excuse.

In the 1940s three raths were recorded in Drom, one in Clem. T. Cooper's, one in John G. Cooper's and another in Florence T. Cooper's land (Schools Manuscript, Co. Kerry). Two of these raths (KE068-016----; KE068-017----) have been identified in the townland but the other remains unlocated.
