Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Doonnagurroge

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Doonnagurroge holds a earthen ringfort, a circular rampart built by human hands yet named for fairy folk because its purpose and owners vanished into legend. The soil may have hidden ladders, doors or chambers, but no clear fact remains to confirm them. It is a boundary marker for imagination, waiting for someone brave enough to stop asking permission and start watching what the dark does at the edge of the field.
