Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Dooneen (roscommon By.) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Dooneen (roscommon By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies an east-facing slope of a broad low hill, where a circular grass-covered area measures thirty-seven metres north-south and thirty-four metres east-west. An earthen bank four point six to six metres wide surrounds the interior, while a shallow fosse runs along the southeast and northeast edges. A slight three-metre dip in the bank at the west-northwest may mark the entrance, and two other earthworks stand fifty and one hundred twenty metres away.
On an E-facing slope of a broad low hill. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 37m N-S; 34m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.6-6m; int. H 0.1-0.3m; ext. H 0.3-0.5m), and a fosse (Wth of top 5-5.5m; Wth of base 2-3m; ext. D 0.1m) SE-NE. A slight dip in the bank (Wth 3m) at WNW may be the entrance. Enclosure (RO017-208002-) is c. 50m to the SSE, and earthwork (RO017-134----) is c. 120m to the N.
