Keelnagore and Knockavohaun still cast shadows across the rath, where a rectangular stone chamber waits inside the earth bank. People may have built the fort to keep out rain, invaders or forgetfulness, but the fairies supposedly claimed it back. The broken northern and eastern gaps invite entry rather than warning against it.

Internal diam. 23.5m N-S, 28m E-W This circular univallate rath is located in rough pasture on a N facing slope below the saddle that joins Keelnagore and Knockavohaun mountains. The enclosing bank is of earth, with a large stone content along its N sector. The fosse, variously preserved, is c. 4m wide and .9m deep below external ground level. The height of the bank above the fosse varies from 2.2m at S to 4.3m at N. It is 4.7m wide at S, 6m at N, and falls on average 1.15m to the interior. There are two breaks in the bank at NE and NW. A raised area in the S half of the rath's interior contains the remnants of a stone-built rectangular building (KE080-038001-). It measures 5.8m x 2.8m internally, and its walls survive .6m high.
