Fairy fort in Derryleigh, County Cork: a 30-metre earthen ring with a 2.4-metre bank and shallow outer ditch, broken 10 metres to the east-north-east. People may have lived there, fenced it, forgotten it, or fed it stories; the shape still keeps its own counsel.

In pasture, on NE-facing slope. Circular raised area (30m N-S; 29m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.4m); shallow external fosse. Break in bank to ENE (Wth 10m). Surrounding field boundaries have been removed. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
