Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Dehomad

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Dehomad holds a faded ringfort where clay and patience built a small defensible life. It is not a grand castle or a glossy tourist stage, but a quiet earthwork that once separated the household inside from the uncertain world outside. In County Clare such forts were common enough to be ordinary and strange enough to mark the boundary between human ambition and landscape.
