Deerpark holds a flat-topped mound marked Fort on the 1835 map, beside a limekiln and a semi-circular ramp that may be a lost ringfort. The name Fairy fort suggests people once believed the site belonged to unseen neighbours rather than human owners. Thorn bushes swallowed the place by 1966, hiding its shape from casual sight but not from memory.

Marked 'Fort' on the 1835 'OS 6-inch' map. A circular flat topped mound with a circular depression in the centre and a limekiln at the S edge. Extending to the SE from the mound is a semi-circular ramp which is possibly the remains of a ringfort. When inspected by ASI in 1966 the site was overgrown with thorn bushes.
