Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Curry (athlone South By.) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Curry (athlone South By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. The D-shaped grass-covered area measures 26.3 metres north-south and 18 metres east-west on a rise in an undulating landscape. A slight bank 3 to 4 metres wide and 0.05 to 0.4 metres high bounds the south, west and north sides while a steep 23-metre slope backs the east. Two other raths stand 170 metres southeast and 220 metres northwest.
On a rise in an undulating landscape. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 26.3m N-S; 18m E-W) defined by a slight bank (Wth 3-4m; int. H 0.05m; ext. H 0.2-0.4m) SE-W-NE and backing onto a steep slope at E (L 23m). There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance. Rath (RO048-067----) is c. 170m to the SE and rath (RO048-064----) is c. 220m to the NW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
