Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cross Beg

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Fairy fort and human ringfort both describe the same earth in Cross Beg. A tall ridge may have marked a home, a boundary or a warning, while the fairy name kept the place outside ordinary ownership. People may have lived there before becoming a story, but the earth still refuses to explain itself without asking them to walk around it first.
