Fairy fort in Cregg North is a broken earthen ring, thirty-two metres wide, still lifting four tens of a metre above the pasture. It appeared whole on the first survey maps, then lost its northern edge to fencing and field work. The southern curve survived inside a boundary, while aerial shadows revealed a second ditch and a smaller annexe clinging to the east. Several similar ditched rings sit nearby, suggesting the slope once belonged to a clustered settlement rather than a single household.

Field fence levelled; circular area (32m E-W) raised c. 0.4m above surrounding field level. Bivallate enclosure visible as cropmark of fosses in aerial photograph (CASAP, July 1989), with possible causewayed entrance to E; S half of levelled inner bank visible as spread of light-coloured soil. Semicircular annexe, visible as cropmark of fosse, adjoins outer fosse of ringfort to ENE (ibid.); may be earlier ditched enclosure with SW half destroyed by ringfort.
