What is recorded here

Cregg holds a circular earthen ringfort with a low stone-lined tunnel entering from the southwest bank. It stands in pasture beside a southern view across rolling Cork countryside, while rubble and growth partly hide the south half. The small entrance and exposed position suggest people valued both access and watchfulness in that old field.

In pasture, commanding view to S across rolling countryside. Circular area (25m N-S; 26.2m E-W) enclosed by low earthen bank (H 0.7m), stone faced on inside. Bank in S half partially hidden by dump of rubble and overgrowth. Low above-ground tunnel (L 2.8m; Wth 1m; H 0.3m) lined with stones and covered by 5 slabs, extends into interior from SW bank.
