Fairy forts are not the stuff of child fantasy. In Corravoley, an earthen ringfort stands in tillage above a southeast-facing slope. Its circular bank and external ditch mark a place where people lived, worked, and vanished into history. The fairies are only the name later people gave to what they did not understand.

In tillage, on level ground above SE-facing slope. Circular area (28m N-S; 30m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.4m); external fosse (D 1.1m) SSE->NE. Interior overgrown with deciduous trees.
