An earthen ringfort in Corragaun, County Kilkenny, still carries the local name Fairy fort, a reminder that people once saw more than a boundary bank when they looked at the shape. The ridge may have marked a home, a field limit, a place of exclusion or a small defence, yet the fairy label suggests it also belonged to the part of life that does not answer questions. That is not nonsense. It is the voice of a place that resisted ordinary explanation.
