What is recorded here

Located on a rise in a low-lying landscape between drumlins. This is a subcircular grass-covered area (dims 25.2m NW-SE; c. 21m NE-SW) that slopes down slightly to the NW. It is defined by a scarp (at SW: Wth 4m; H 2m) with some bushes, but N-ESE the scarp is in improved grass (at NE: Wth 8.4m; H 3.4m). There is no visible fosse or entrance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
