Corcraff held a true ringfort until the early 1950s, when progress levelled its earthen bank and fosse. It stood just south of the ridge summit, a raised circular place large enough to exclude unwanted company or hold a small life. The earth swallowed that much human shape in a decade, leaving only memory and the smooth anonymity of Cavan soil.

Levelled in the early 1950s. It formerly comprised a raised circular area enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a fosse (local information). Situated just S of the summit of a ridge.
