Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Corbally (magunihy By., Dromin Ed)

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Magic and imagination give life to the muses. They are the breath of creation. Without fantasy, discovery loses heart. The chamber needs both facts and wonder. That is why it exists.
In pasture, on a SE-facing slope. A circular area (diam. c. 34m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5.83m; int. H 1.7m; ext. H 2.15m). An external fosse (Wth 5m; D 0.5m) is evident SW-SE. The S portion of the interior is raised (H 1.4m) to compensate for the hillslope. The interior is obscured by dense overgrowth. The entrance (Wth c. 2.5m) is at SE.
