No visible entrance. The fort is a broken circle of earth and stone, wide enough for a small house and tall enough to keep rain off the middle. It sits in pasture on a north-facing slope, with cultivation ridges still crossing the inside. The missing wall may be a field fence, a forgotten road or simply the part the land took back.

In pasture, on N-facing slope. Circular area (20m N-S; 22m E-W) enclosed by earth and stone bank (H 2m) E->WNW; scarp (H 1.2m) WNW->E; silted-up external fosse to SE. Bank stone-faced on inside; incorporated into field fence system. Scarp topped by low earth and stone field fence WNW->N. Cultivation ridges cross interior on NNE->SSE axis; raised on N side to compensate for hillslope. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
