Death and memory shaped Coomduff before living neighbours walked past it. The rectangular platform still holds its stony edge beside the small stream, preserving the shape of a circular fort that time and reuse have blurred. People may have buried their dead there, placed a slab among the stones, and stepped across the marker without knowing how much older the ground already was.

A circular enclosure is marked at this location on the first edition of the OS map. It survives as an approximately rectangular platform which is delimited on its S and W sides by a small stream, and is delimited elsewhere by stretches of stone-built field boundaries which partly follow the circuit of its original enclosing element. The site measures 26.5m N-S x 18m E-W, and its stony interior is considerably disturbed. It was formerly used as a burial ground (KE080-006001-) (local information). An upright slab in the interior may relate to this period of use. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
