Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Coolmoyne (Fennell) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Coolmoyne (Fennell), County Tipperary, Ireland. It occupies level pasture as a 32-metre circular area defined by a 9-metre-wide earthen bank that stands 0.3 metres high internally and 1.45 metres high externally. A 6-metre-wide, 0.7-metre-deep external ditch runs northeast through east and south to southwest, while a separate 5.7-metre-wide outer bank extends east-northeast through southeast to south.
In level pasture. Circular area (dims. 32m NE-SW) defined by low earthen bank (Wth 9m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.45m) reduced to scarp in places. External fosse (Wth 6m; D 0.7m) is well defined and waterlogged NE-E-S-SW. Outer bank (Wth 5.7m; int. H 1.0m; ext. H 0.45m) ENE-SE-S. Break (Wth 3.35m) in outer bank at ESE leads to depression on exterior, where run-off from fosse discharges. Breach (Wth 2.3m) also in inner bank at this location. Additional breaches (Wth 2-3m) in inner bank at W and N. According to Cahill (1982), there is a quern stone in the adjoining farmyard.
