Hartnett measured a double ramparted ringfort 170 feet across in Coollicka before men levelled it and removed the surrounding fences. The earth gave up its shape, but the story remains: a circular house large enough for pride, built on the east side of a stream valley and forgotten by the people who erased it.

In pasture, on E side of stream valley. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 40m) on 1842, 1904 and 1939 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled; no visible surface trace; surrounding field fences removed. According to Hartnett (1939, 183), 'a double ramparted ringfort 170 feet in diameter'.
