Cooldurragha held a bivallate ringfort wide enough for a small village, but ploughs erased the ridge before anyone could walk its edge. The 1842 survey still drew its twenty-metre circle, while modern aerial photography catches only shadowed fosses in the crop. That much of the structure remains hidden beneath living soil suggests the fort resisted forgetting even after human hands removed its visible form.
