What is recorded here

No fairy, no magic, no fantasy. This is a human home, a defensive ring, a boundary drawn in earth above the Blackwater floodplain. People lived here, resisted here, and disappeared into the ordinary churn of history. The grass has swallowed the ditch and softened the edges, but the circle still refuses to forget the shape of the hands that made it.

In pasture, on NW-facing slope, to S of and above flood plain of Blackwater River. Circular area (25.25m N-S; 25.25m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.5m); second bank (H 0.6m) survives SW->NE; intervening fosse partially overgrown, banks heavily overgrown. Interior slopes gently down to NW.
