Lissheenmeel Fort vanished into Cloonteens pasture before modern cameras arrived, leaving only a circular memory on old maps. Farmers tilled the earth flat in the 1840s, erasing the boundary that once marked human ambition against the sky. The land absorbed the fort, proving that soil remembers more than stone when people stop watching.

In pasture, on a N-facing slope, near the summit of a low hill. This rath is not visible at ground level. It was indicated as a roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) on the 1846 and 1894 OS 6-inch maps. In the 1840s it was described as being 'tilled' and was called Lissheenmeel Fort (OSNB, Kilcummin, no. 3, 21).
