Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cloonkeen (carbery West (e.d.) By.) stands in County Cork, Ireland, a circular raised area thirty-five to thirty-six metres across, enclosed by a two-metre-eight earthen bank with a silted fosse and a three-metre-wide entrance to the south-southwest. The interior slopes gently westward and remains cultivated, suggesting the ringfort still gives up its substance to human hands rather than waiting for admiration. Its size and shape fit a working settlement, yet the fairy name warns that the land may refuse to explain itself on human terms.

In pasture, on W-facing slope. Circular raised area (35m N-S; 36m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 2.8m), with silted up fosse to W and SW. Entrance to SSW (Wth 3m).
