Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Clooneen (carbury By.) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Clooneen (carbury By.), County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies level ground at the north base of an east-west ridge within gently undulating pasture. A thirty-four-metre circular area rises slightly behind a one-and-a-half-metre earthen scarp, while a five-point-two-metre-wide fosse borders its external foot except where a field bank and drain now occupy the southwest and northwest line. A two-metre-wide ramp across the southern scarped edge may mark the original entrance.
Situated on level ground at N base of E-W orientated ridge, in gently undulating pasture. Slightly raised circular area (diam. 34m) enclosed by an earthen scarp (ext. H 1.5m). At the external foot of the scarp is a fosse (Wth. 5.2m; D 0.4m). From SW-NW the fosse is absent and a N-S orientated field boundary bank and drain lies along the line of the fosse, abutting the external base of the scarped edge at W. A slight ramp (Wth 2m) across the scarped edge at S may mark the position of the original entrance.
