Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Clooneen (carbury By.) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Clooneen (carbury By.), County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies a slight rise in gently undulating pasture with good views across low ground in all directions. A 21-metre circular area is enclosed by a 5-metre wide earth bank rising 0.5 metres internally, though livestock breaks now appear at the east, south-southeast and southwest. No fosse is visible at ground level and the original entrance remains unrecognisable.
Situated on a slight rise in gently undulating pasture. Views are good across low ground in all directions. Raised circular area (diam. 21m) enclosed by a bank of earth (Wth 5m; int. H 0.5m). There is no fosse visible at ground level. The original entrance is not recognisable. There are livestock breaks in the bank at E, SSE and at SW. Compiled by: Patrick F.
