What is recorded here

Fairy forts are human ringforts misnamed because they look abandoned and complete. Cloghboola More is different: its round bank has been levelled into a shallow saucer, leaving only a low eastern rise and a field full of forgotten shape. The fairies never lived there. People did, built a small defensible home, then left it to rot while the name changed to suit wonder.

In pasture. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m) with external fosse on 1904 and 1938 OS 6-inch maps. Levelled; saucer-shaped depression in field (diam. c. 28m); low rise along line of levelled bank most noticeable to E and SE.
