Circular, slightly raised area (53m N-S; 52m E-W) enclosed by two earthen banks with intervening fosse. Inner bank (int. H 1.15m); outer bank (H 1.5m) stone-faced in parts. Banks broken to SE and W, with causeways. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
