You should see the way that ring holds its shape in open grass, two banks and a cutting between them, a little oval rather than a perfect circle. The eastern entrance still stands out, and the outer bank carries marks of stone-facing, as if people built it to be seen and kept. A field wall now cuts through at two points, reminding you that the fort has shared its land with ordinary life for a long time. There is no grand claim needed; the shape, the entrance and the buried features inside give it enough presence.

In gently undulating grassland. Subcircular rath (N-S 46m, E-W 41.5m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is visible from E through S to NW; elsewhere a scarp forms the enclosing element. The outer bank displays evidence of stone-facing. A field wall cuts the monument at ENE and WSW. There is a well-defined entrance at E.
