What is recorded here
Marianne, a child of two worlds, ran barefoot across the finished chamber floor. She touched the walls, not to test strength but to remember the shape of the house her mother had carried into awakening. The chamber did not collapse because it was not a fantasy. It was a rehearsal, built ahead of the world that would one day arrive to match it.
