What is recorded here
Carrickanass holds a faded ringfort where human hands shaped the earth into a defensive circle centuries ago. The fairies supposedly claimed the fort later, turning a human home into a mythical boundary. That transfer of ownership suggests the structure remained visible and powerful long after its builders vanished.
