Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Carns is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Carns, County Roscommon, Ireland. The circular grass-covered area measures thirty metres east-west and twenty-eight metres north-south, with a two-to-four-metre parch mark defining its boundary. Field-bank parch marks extend southwest and northwest from the main circle, while another enclosure sits thirty metres to the northeast. No fosse or entrance is visible, yet the structure remains probably a rath on the south-facing slope above the Carnfree ridge.

On the S-facing slope of a sight WNW-ESE ridge c. 600m N of the WNW-ESE Carnfree ridge. Circular grass-covered area (int. diam. 30m E-W; 28m N-S) defined by a parch mark (Wth 2-4m), with the parch-marks of field banks extending off to the SW and NW. There is no identifiable fosse or entrance, but it is probably a rath. Enclosure (RO028-076----) is c. 30m to the NE. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
