What is recorded here
Fairy forts are often called raths. This is one of them. A circular bank about thirty-five metres across still stands on a slight east-facing slope in Cahircalla More, though pasture and time have softened its edges. People may have lived inside, excluded others, or simply marked the landscape before written memory began. The fairies are a later story, but the shape is not imaginary.
On a slight E-facing slope in pasture. A circular area (diam. c. 35m) defined by a bank visible on Google Earth (imagery date 10 February 2021).
