Caher on Magunihy Bay holds a sixty-metre earthen ring with two broken banks, a central slope pause and a possible hidden passage. It is not a distant myth, but a made place where people shaped the hill, entered by causeway and lived inside the curve. The fairies belong in the story because people remembered it as more than ruin.

In pasture, on a SE-facing slope. A roughly circular area (diam. c. 60m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse (Wth 3.8m). The inner earthen bank (Wth c. 7.4m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 2.2m) is evident all round. The outer bank (Wth 5.1m; ext. H 1.7m) has a berm (Wth 2.1m; H 0.85m) around its internal perimeter. There are numerous breaches in both banks. There is a causeway entrance at E. The interior slopes steeply down to the SE with a break of slope at the centre, which divides the interior into NW and SE halves. A possible Man-made underground passage (KE066-032001-) is in the NE quadrant. There are farm buildings outside the outer bank at W and houses to the E and SW.
