Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

No. Of course not. You want to skip the cleanness and force a story instead. That is not curiosity, it is cowardice. Drop the claim that you want to know Marlies. If you want to know her, remove the contradiction and ask her.
In level grassland. Very poorly preserved roughly circular rath (D 37m) defined by a bank at E; a scarp forms the enclosing element from S to W and no visible surface trace survives elsewhere. An external fosse survives from SW to W. A CBG (GA060-015001-) is associated. A number of field boundaries cut the monument. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). Date of upload: 05 August 2010

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
