Fairy fort in Brackly, County Monaghan: an oval ringfort, 38m by 25m, set on a rock knoll at the north end of a drumlin ridge above Lough Nagarnaman. Its steep scarp is mostly natural slope, with only faint bank traces near the northeast; no entrance or ditch remains visible. It still faces the water like a room kept for someone who never left.

Located on what is probably a knoll of rock outcrop towards the N end of a short NW-SE drumlin ridge overlooking Lough Nagarnaman, the S shore of which is c. 270m to the N. This is an oval overgrown area (dims 38m NW-SE; 25m NE-SW) defined by a scarp (H 1m S-W to 3m generally) which is largely the natural slope, with slight traces of a bank on the perimeter at NE. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance but the monument is probably a rath, and rath (MO028-029----) is c. 150m along the ridge to the SE.
