Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Boleylug

Situated on a gentle E-facing side of a hillock overlooking steeper slopes. Circular platform (diam. 34m; H 1m) with at least partly recent drystone-faced banks (Wth 3m; int. H 1.5m) at the N and W. There is a recent gap at the W, but no indication of an entrance, external fosse or internal features. Part of the site has been quarried away at the S. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
