What is recorded here

Barrahaurin held a twenty-two-metre earthen ring on a west-facing slope above the Dripsey River, joining three others in a neat line along the valley’s northeast edge. The 1842 survey marked its hachured boundary before pasture and plough erased the shallow ditch. It may have been a household, a watch post, or a boundary marker for river traffic, but the earth has taken back the answer.
