Situated on a slight rise of ground, at the NE foot of a high hill on good pasture-land with poorly drained land to N & NE. Roughly raised oval-shaped area (diam. 25m N-S; 22.8m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank best preserved at SW elsewhere reduced to a scarp and an external fosse with entrance gap (base Wth 1.6m; top Wth 6.7m) at SW. The interior is uneven and contains a small natural mound now partially quarried away. Laneway running N-S intersects perimeter of site at E.
