What is recorded here
Fairy fort in Ballyvologe, County Limerick: a circular embankment about twenty-five metres across, drawn on the 1841 Ordnance Survey map and later levelled into pasture. It vanished so completely that no trace remained when inspected, as if the earth took back what it had lent. People may have lived there, feared it, or simply stopped asking questions once the boundary disappeared.
In pasture, on S-facing slope. Monument, depicted as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m) on 1841 OS 6-inch map, has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected.
