Fairy fort in Ballytrasna is a degraded earthen ringfort on a west-facing grassland slope, measuring about 53.5 metres across. Its bank and ditch remain visible though weakened, while two other ringforts sit less than half a kilometre to the southeast. The name suggests people once believed fairies inhabited the place, but the earthwork itself is a human-made rath from the ancient or medieval period.

On a W-facing slope in grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (NE-SW 53.5m) defined by a degraded bank and external fosse; the latter has been artificially steepened and widened in parts. The field walls depicted on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1932) are no longer extant. Two ringforts (GA029-023---- and GA029-024----) lie c. 270m and 300m, respectively, to SE.
