Muskerry men called it a fairy fort because shadows moved inside the ring before storms, yet human hands built the one-metre bank and cut the shallow fosse around a thirty-seven-metre pasture circle. It is an earthen ringfort, not a fantasy trap, though wonder often enters places where memory has thinned. The field still holds its shape, waiting for footsteps, breath, or the kind of attention that makes dead things answer.
