What is recorded here
Situated on a marked E-facing slope. Circular enclosure (diam. 28m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5m; H 1.4-1.8m) preserved in a field boundary at W. The remainder of the circumference is defined by a low scarp (H 0.2-0.6m). The drystone revetment on the outer side of the bank appears to be modern as is the field drain (Wth 1.2m) which skirts the bank. No other indication of a fosse or entrance. A slight scarp (H 0.3m) extends E-W through the centre of the enclosure.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
