Situated on level ground with gentle S-facing slopes above and below the site. Circular area (diam. 34m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2.5m; H 0.8m) and an external fosse (Wth 2-3m; D 0.4m). The entrance consists of a gap (Wth 2m) in the bank at the SW with a corresponding causeway (Wth 2m) across the fosse. Within the site there are the foundations of two structures. The first is in the NE quadrant (12m NW-SE x 6m NE-SW) and is defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 1.6m; H 0.3m). The second is attached to the inner side of the bank at the W (dims. 8m N-S x 5m E-W) and is defined by a grass-grown bank (H 0.3m). The enclosure occurs within a field system attached to the site at the SW and SE.
