Fairy fort in Ballyprior, County Laois: a 25-metre raised circle with a 4.1-metre bank, shallow inside, higher outside, and a sunken ditch strongest at the south. No entrance remains visible. The shape suggests exclusion as much as shelter: a place set apart, perhaps for ritual, storage, residence or warning. Local names often preserve what measurement cannot, including the idea that the fort belongs to fairies rather than people.

A raised circular area (diam. c. 25m) defined by a bank (Wth c. 4.1m, int. H c. 0.5m, ext. H c. 1m) from NE-SSW, and elsewhere by a scarp. External fosse most pronounced at S and from S-SW.
