Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballyphilibeen stood thirty-five metres wide on a north-facing slope above a narrow stream valley. Farmers later levelled the bank into tillage, yet the circular shadow still emerges through growing crops. The land remembers the shape even when the surface forgets the name.

In tillage, on N-facing slope, overlooking narrow stream valley. Depicted as hachured circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; slight rise visible in area of site.
