Doonaghboy and Ballyonan both carry the same name, a fuzzy border where human memory collapses into myth. The earth still holds the shape of a fort, but the people who built it have vanished into the story about fairies. That is not a failure of record-keeping. It is the shape of the place: a ring of soil large enough to exclude certainty.
