Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballynastaig (kiltartan By.) stands as a well-preserved oval rath about sixty metres north-south and forty-six metres east-west, shaped by two banks and a hollow between them. Its eastern gap is lined with stones and wide enough for a person to walk through, while a hidden passage cuts through the southwest interior. The outer bank has been covered by a later field wall, yet the inner bank still shows traces of stone facing. The site remains an active marker of human ingenuity, not a faded curiosity.

On a gentle rise in pastureland. Well-preserved oval rath (c. 60m N-S; 46.6m E-W) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The outer bank survives as a low rise, overlain by a later field wall, except from E to SE. Traces of internal stone-facing are evident on the inner bank and a stone-lined causewayed entrance gap (Wth 2.4m) is visible at E.
